Transfer past period budget to next period

When a new budget period starts, being able to add what was left on the previous period (or subtract if I overspent). If my shopping budget was $200 and I spent $150 I want the next period to show $250. If budget was $200 and I spent $250 I want the next period to show $150. It’d be amazing if this could be turned on/off per budget or per period.
