Merge Existing Accounts with Bank Connections (Keep History)

Feature Request

Currently, when linking a bank account, there is no option to merge it with an already existing account in the app. This creates a major issue for long-time users: if you already have years of transaction history manually tracked, you either have to abandon it and start from scratch with the new linked account, or keep two separate accounts (one historical, one automated).

I would love to see a feature that allows users to merge an existing account with a newly linked bank account. This way, all past transactions remain intact, while future ones are imported automatically. It ensures continuity, saves years of personal finance history, and makes the app much more powerful for loyal users.

    For context: I started entering transactions in 2020 and started using the accounts of the connected banks in November 2025.

    In my case, after removing a bank connection, I lost all the transactions, details, and attachments entered for the connected bank. I restored the manual version (which I had archived) and manually re-entered all the transactions from November 2025, details, and attachments. I think I'll always stick with manual accounts, to have greater control over individual transactions and because I don't want these automated processes to in any way affect manually edited data.

    Per contestualizzare: ho iniziato ad inserire i movimenti dal 2020 e da novembre 2025 ho iniziato ad usare gli account delle banche connesse.

    Nel mio caso, dopo aver rimosso una connessione con la banca, ho perso tutti i movimenti, dettagli e allegati inseriti per la banca connessa. Ho ripristinato la versione manuale (che avevo archiviato) e ho inserito di nuovo manualmente tutti i movimenti, dettagli e allegati da Novembre 2025. Credo resterò sempre con i conti manuali, per avere maggiore controllo sui singoli movimenti e perché non voglio che questi processi automatizzati possano in qualche modo influenzare dati modificati manualmente.
