Capture dates in quick entries

I have this scenario where I reconcile any missing transactions against all my credit statements and mobile banking statements which usually ends up with many missing entries that needs to be added into the app.

I found quick entry to be very useful here as I can just type all the info I need to include in one sentence without multiple clicks but the one factor that slows me down is that I have to manually click and select the date of the transaction every time I’m entering an new entry that is not “today”.

I’ve tried multiple ways but it doesn’t look possible so I would like to request a feature that can capture the date of the transactions in quick entries. For example:
